Red Violin Duo aims to perform stylish arrangements of music played on guitar and violin using material drawn from diverse cultural backgrounds. Classical, Early and Renaissance, World Music and Folk-Roots all come together in performance to give a rewarding and enjoyable experience to their audience.
Frank Dudley, the duo’s guitarist has composed some of the new material used this season. In addition works by Sir Peter Maxwell-Davies, Richard Rodney Bennett and Frank Bridge are included.
Red Violin Duo is equally at home playing Celtic Folk Music and has an extensive repertoire of Scottish, Irish and Eastern European music beautifully arranged.
Red Violin Duo is available for concert engagements. Churches and medium sized halls are ideal for the instrumental combination. The duo is also available to play music clubs, music festivals, corporate events, weddings and educational workshops.
