The Red Violin Duo

             

             Frank Dudley

Guitar

Frank is an accomplished guitarist and bass guitarist.  

He has a varied musical background. Having begun as a rock musician he later took up folk and classical guitar. In the eighties Frank studied guitar at the Birmingham Conservatoire where he also started to play the violin later becoming interested in folk fiddle.

 


Michael Burnham

Violin 

Michael Burnham studied violin with Professor Nicholas Roth at theBirmingham Conservatoire and Trinity College of Music London, where he was a member of the Trinity Chamber Ensemble. 

Michael is a classical violinist who has the expertise to 'cross the divide' and play Celtic, Folk and World music. He is a member of the New English Orchestra and the Elgar Camarato and plays in various  Celtic and World Music groups 

Michael plays a number of historic instruments including Dancing Master’s Kit, Rebab and Baroque violin. Michael has been known to play his state of the art five string Zeta midi violin, but of course Michael’s main fiddle is his “Red Violin.”
